Super anchor lantern

The lantern consumes extremely little power and yet is very clearly visible from eye level (of a collision opponent) due to the Fresnel lens, unlike the DHI lantern that is driven in the masthead.
And thanks to the sensor, you never forget to turn the lantern on and off again.

Well suited as a parking light anchor light!

Some of the boats in the harbor with me have an anchor light as a kind of side light on the water-side ship's side when it's dark.
At SVB I find this small universal lamp anchor lantern 12 V with an integrated twilight switch. This is delivered including two light bulbs, which I have since replaced with LEDs.
I hang this lantern from the port railing and run the connection cable through a thru-hull into the cabin. There, a small 12V plug-in power supply supplies the lantern with power from the 230V shore connection.

Works well, only the brightness sensor that turns on the lamp in the dark cannot be turned off from the outside. You have to take off the glass of the lamp and peck the sensor with a small piece of black plastic tape, then the lamp lights up even when it is bright.
