Expensive but a feast for the eyes
First impressions of this hatch are that it is solid and well built. However, I would have liked if a template had been included though, as it is always nerve-wracking to make large holes in your boat. I managed to make one myself and the installation went smoothly. Now time will tell if the paint and aluminum alloy can withstand the harsh environment. I hope so as I really like this hatch.

Excellent
We are very hesitant to buy because it is very expensive! But upon receipt of the product you immediately see that it is professional equipment! Heavy, solid and very waterproof. The only downside is the lack of hinges, so you have to prevent the lid from falling into the water by securing it to the frame with a little piece of garcette....

The stars don't fit
The product evaluation does not ask for service and customer advice. However, the point then appears in the customer rating and in my case is only marked with 3 stars. The service and customer advice at SVB is exemplary as always. So please check SVB once to see what's wrong.

Editing leaves something to be desired.
When tightening the screws, the paint chipped off despite the plastic seal. Otherwise, the lock was replaced, which improved the durability of the hatch.

Very solid quality, well processed and fits exactly. What is missing is a mounting template and a seal in the area of the screw connection. The I had to make from a rubber plate itself.

beautiful luck
It really is a nice hatch. There is a plastic washer on the closure, but unfortunately it broke after opening and closing it 10 times. Closing it is relatively easy, but you have to pull like a bull to open it.

coating defects
My first (replacement) starboard stowage hatch was flawless. When I wanted to install the second hatch, I had to exchange it due to manufacturing defects, which was a loss of time. The problem was insufficient deburring of the inner edges and screw holes and a coating that was too thin and full of holes. It should be noted that with an exact cut-out, two small circle segments (approx. 7mm) must also be cut out. The connection to the anode is highly recommended as this simultaneously secures the hatch cover and the coating is quite vulnerable. To avoid corrosion I glued the frame to the deck and secured it with aluminum screws. When watertightness is important, this hatch cover can be recommended. It is pleasing that it is available in traditional standard dimensions.

Yes and No
Addendum to my question about installation and anode The flap actually has a screw on the inside of the lid for connection (cable with ring eyelet) to an anode. This cannot be seen on the current product picture. Since the lid is mainly separated from the frame by the rubber seal and the contact points are painted, I doubt that the Ande also protects the frame. We will see. The workmanship and painting is unfortunately not nearly as perfect as in the product pictures. The workmanship does not reflect the price. Nevertheless, I install it because I had the same flap installed and completely corroded (from 2014 and no anode connection). The price is high, but I save a lot of working time and adjustments to the boat in order to install a different flap. Especially since I haven't found another suitable one that is also waterproof.

quality problematic
2 years after the shipyard had installed it, I wanted to open the hatch to get to the diesel tank underneath. Unfortunately, the hatch was completely seized up by corrosion and has not been able to be opened since. After I pulled a little harder on the rotary handle, it broke off. The paint on the hatch is dissolving. Overall, not a good impression. Since I now have the opening in the cockpit floor, I have no choice but to install a new hatch, assuming I can somehow remove the hatch. If I can remove the hatch without causing any damage, I need a new rotary handle. How or where can I order one? I would be grateful for any help.
