Expensive but very good
The fan makes a very stable impression. Compared to the other solar fans available on the market, it is certainly the top model; but also correspondingly expensive. The fan comes on the foredeck. I will therefore create a neoprene ring that closes the air inlet because absolute waterproofness is not to be expected when a wave goes over it.

Not waterproof
Really not great. The product is not waterproof and when you take a wave on the deck, the water enters through the center of the aerator. So, to avoid if you sail from time to time in tough conditions. No, in fact, to avoid altogether!

Marinco solar aerator evaluation
The Product appears well made in the components but in my opinion little air enters or exits for sufficient ventilation to reduce the presence of humidity in the master cabin. I am not yet able to evaluate the seal in the presence of navigation with formed waves and washing of the bow.

Too loud, too big, too high and too ineffective
Needed three fans. Luckily I only bought one fan. It's better not to turn the thing on. The high-frequency noise can be heard throughout the boat. Looking for something quiet for a 120 mm installation opening.

Low quality promises
I bought Marinco 4" to replace old solar fan which was the previous model of the same manufacturer. Manufactorer promises 48 hours air circulation but this new model runs out of battery in less than 12 hours, even in mid summer, in Finland, when there is lots of sunshine for weeks. And when it does work, its suction is not very good. SVB changed the battery for free as a quarante fix but senting the fan to repair cost quite a lot. Other companies pay all quarantee costs but not SVB. They don't pay freight. Their quarantee repair did not fix the problem but it is too expencive to sent it back for another quarantee repair. Another thing is, that when other fans stop rotating, atleast the wind is causing suction and air flow in the vent, but this unit does not work that way. Not even if there is a storm. Lousy product. Poor quarantee system.

Expensive and bad
Two Nicro fans were installed on our new used boat, both of which no longer worked. Because of moisture in the cabin, the fans should be replaced quickly and fit into the existing holes. Somehow the parts look cheap when they are unpacked. According to the instructions, I left the fans off and put them in the sun for two days. After commissioning they ran for a good 24 hours, but the air flow generated is rather weak. The whole thing was only to be canceled on the second night. Even during the day they only run at intervals of one second. It's cloudy autumn days, but that's when I need the fans. There can be no question of day and night operation here. In dim light they don't even run continuously during the day. Exchanging was just out of the question because installation and removal are, as always, the biggest problem.
