Use all of the solar energy to power the DAY&NIGHT vent and a built-in NiMh battery at the same time. The battery then ensures that the fan can operate for up to 24 hours either at night or without sunlight at a flow rate of 28 m³/hour (1000 ft³/h). In addition, a small, bright LED in the centre of the underside of the fan can be used as a light for orientation. Two slide switches on the underside of the fan control the inward ventilation/off/outward ventilation and orientation light (LED) on/off functions. When both switches are off, all solar power is used to charge the battery. The fan can be opened or closed via a robust sliding system. An integrated insect screen keeps uninvited guests away and can be unlocked and removed for cleaning with a simple twist.
The exterior is made of stainless steel. Easy assembly: After making the assembly hole, bed the exterior threaded trim plate and screw into the deck. Turn the interior threaded trim plate into place until flush with ceiling surface. Drill and fasten with screws if desired.
Please refer to the attached documents for all required dimensions.

- 6x VA Phillips countersunk screws 4.2x19 mm
- Installation instructions (English)
Note
Rechargeable battery
The fan is equipped with a replaceable NiMh battery.
The solar cell keeps the battery charged during the day, so that the fan can run at night and in low light conditions.
Runtime with full battery and without sunlight up to 24 hours.
Average battery life depending on climatic operating conditions 3-5 years.
To maximize battery life, make sure that the battery is fully charged before using it for the first time.
To do this, expose the fan to full sunlight for at least 24 to 36 hours.
Please note that the charging time may vary due to external influences such as angle of light, weather conditions, shading of the solar cell, etc.
Switches
Two slide switches on the fan base control the functions.
- The three-stage switch controls the fan operation:
IN (= inward ventilation), CHG (= motor off, battery charging via solar on) and OUT (= outward ventilation)
- The ON / OFF switch turns the LED orientation light on/off.
If both switches are set to "Off", all power generated by the solar panel will be used to charge the battery.
