fits perfectly, small compromises in the scope of delivery and assembly
Replacement for the seawater pump of a 2003 VP, which had started leaking again and was no longer delivering full capacity. Quality is generally OK, but the scope of delivery does not include an O-ring or sealing rings for the plug-in connections of the two water pipes, and the gear drive wheel must be reused from the old pump.

required rework
Installation was not possible without rework because the outer ring had sharp edges and therefore immediately jammed during installation (see attached image). The part could only be inserted after a chamfer had been applied.

Function and quality otherwise flawless.

pump for volvo 2002.
Appears to be of good quality (sealed bearing). Provide the water inlet and outlet gaskets and also the O-ring between the pump and the motor, I also changed the drive pinion for safety. (Invoiced 42nd at Volvo for the 4 parts. Not found in the SVB catalog)

The enclosed spring washer for securing the gear on the shaft was a bit too thick for the groove on the shaft.

Works, but limited lifespan
On a longer trip, after a good year and about 1000 engine hours, I had to replace the second pump because the sealing rings were leaking.

Replacement for the original pump Volvo Penta 2003
The pump makes a solid impression and fits perfectly. It was and is currently a Johnson pump pictured but an Italian replacement is coming. When I asked, I got the answer that I couldn't get a Johnson pump for this price! Before ordering, I asked by phone whether the seals for the plug-in connections and the O-ring for the engine block were included. The answer to my question was yes. There are no seals with the pump. The installation is unproblematic, but I'm still waiting for the separately ordered seals, because the old seals no longer do what they should. Durability must be shown.

Durability moderate, maintainability catastrophic
Installed as a short-term replacement for a leaky original pump, saving my vacation. So far, great.

After two years, this pump started leaking (okay, it's okay, the shaft seal on the seawater side). However, the shaft seal on this model cannot be easily replaced without first removing the shaft (there is no spacer). Changing the bearing or the oil seal on the oil side is almost impossible.

Conclusion: Never again, Italian junk.

Our answer
Ein Austausch der Wellendichtung / Simmerring ohne eine komplette Demontage der Welle ist auch bei einer Jabsco und/oder Johnson Pumpe nicht möglich.
