I have now, since 2014, used 3 of these dehumidifiers on my boats, from 47 feet, to 38 feet, and up to 35 feet.

And the result has exceeded my expectations every time. I lived and still live permanently on my last boat, in the Azores, which are known for their high humidity. Whether I'm cooking pasta or rice, taking a shower or doing a little laundry, I never have any unpleasant smells or moisture stains on board. Everything is perfect. The only criticism concerns the new Zambesi. This control system is full of fundamentally useless gimmicks and is too complicated for the basic functions. The old DDL8 I was simple, intuitive, and easy to use. The product managers at MEACO thought they were developing something new. In my opinion, they were a complete failure.

Excellent piece of kit

I brought a dehumidifier with trepidation, as I wanted it to operate whilst I lived 400 miles from the boat, I wanted something trustworthy, economical and above all safe. This item does all three. I set it to the lowest setting, so it only comes on when it senses humidity at 50 % or higher. The boat is always dry and electricity bills low, the unit does not get hot nor show any signs of malfunction 1 year later. Highly recommended.
