A solid, classic panel with somewhat cheap-looking closures

I had to replace the hatch on our Fantasia 27, and it was quite difficult to find one with the right dimensions. This one fits perfectly. The locking system requires milling the deck fiberglass underneath the hatch. The soft plastic locking handles don't inspire much confidence.

But overall, the quality is there... Like all deck hatches, it's extremely slippery out of the box, so you'll need to add anti-slip patches.

Measurement problem

Please note that the catalog states the cut-out measurement is 500 mm, but the actual measurement is 480 mm. As this was a replacement for an older model, I had to make an adjustment to fill the 2 cm excess in my old cut-out. Otherwise, the product arrived quickly and well packaged.

Unfortunately, Gebo has changed the tint color over the years. Ie if you want to replace an old hatch, like me, you have to put up with a gray-black tint instead of the slightly gray-violet tint used at the time. That's not particularly happy.

Partly disapointing

Good looking hatch but somehow delicate. The Al frame can be scratched easily, the plastic handles dont inspire confidence for long life. The special keys for adjusting the hinges were not delivered and usage of standard keys is not really possible, no room. Also, the blue sliders for locking the opening are not working, they are blocked and dont move. If I havent already installed the hatch, I would return it and ask for refund. Now its too late.
