Sump float.switch
It sits in my waste water sump and turns the pump on when the level rises. Works perfectly but doesn't like oil in the water.

Level switch septic tank
I use the level switch in a clear water pit. Works flawlessly. I particularly like the time offset. The pump continues to run for a few seconds.

Spring clip missing for function test
The product itself works perfectly, and unlike a mechanical float switch, the pump cannot be triggered by leaking oil, diesel, or gasoline in the bilge.

However, what was missing was the spring mentioned in the manufacturer's instructions for regular testing after installation. Without this spring, testing deep in the bilge is difficult. The manufacturer's suggestion to pour water into the bilge until the switch activates is hardly practical.

Despite my complaint, I have unfortunately received this spring neither from the manufacturer nor from SVB support.

partially functional
The switch's contact surfaces are quickly blocked by suspended particles, contaminants, and deposits, preventing it from shutting off.

If the switch is easily accessible, cleaning is quick, but in an inaccessible graywater tank, it's less pleasant.

Avoid
Either it doesn't activate, or it doesn't stop the pump. Sometimes, after rubbing the sensors, it works correctly for two hours, then doesn't activate again. I've reinstalled my float switch. It doesn't work in seawater or freshwater. I don't have any oil in my bilge.
