I had the AP24 autopilot from Simrad, which eventually gave up the ghost. The drive unit was still working, though, and since I was switching to Raymarine anyway, I was able to continue using the old drive unit with this autopilot and a Raymarine rudder reference transducer without any major modifications. The boat now holds a more stable course than before, and it can even be controlled from the Axiom chartplotter.
The only drawback: There are three steering modes (Performance, Balanced, and Economical), but even on the lowest setting, it still steers quite frequently and prematurely, which is unnecessary in heavy waves and leads to higher power consumption. On the other hand, as mentioned, it holds a more stable course.
So, if you already have a drive unit, it saves you a lot of money compared to a complete system.

I bought this EV-200 to replace an existing autopilot on my 12m boat. I was able to retain the existing hydraulic drive unit and use the existing locations for the display, control unit and compass. The old wiring needed to be removed and replaced with the SeaTalkNG cables, which took the longest amount of time. You need to choose where the 5-way connector will go, based on the available spur (white) cable length from the display unit (mine went in the nav pod at the wheel and I ran the longer blue backbone cable from there to the control box). Some additional "T" connectors and backbone cable (blue) and terminators were required to connect to an existing Raymarine network (these are not supplied). The equipment is very easy to fit for a DIY installer with intuitive instructions. Commissioning was straightforward and performance is very good. Recommended.

An old car helmet system was installed on my 34-foot sailboat. The wheel drive, type ST 4000, was constantly on its nerves, even with little waves or wind. Since a linear drive was not an option for reasons of space, I ordered the EH 100 kit.
Installation time 4 hours, commissioning 1 hour, change the direction of rotation once, done.
The behavior of the new system under the engine, under sail and also in wind and waves is so much better that I can hardly describe it. Simply great, no large rudder deflections, no more shooting into the wind, a real added value. Maintains the course without constant back and forth, which not only benefits the nerves, but also the power consumption.

regarding the excellent purchase advice, the fast delivery, the good possible installation of the devices and the data bus and the good functionality of the entire system. Flawless goods - gladly again if necessary! The good intuitive usability of the control unit p70Rs is to be rated positively.

All devices make a good workmanship impression. Only the EV1 sensor is a bit thin with the bracket. Installation is easy to do with few tools. The enclosed documentation is only in English, German can be downloaded from the Internet. In some places the installation instructions are not very detailed. Overall unpacked, installed, switched on and ready for operation after briefly entering the basic parameters.

I bought this set in Feb. 2019 and used the long winter to build it into my trimaran Corsair Dash2 Bj 2016. Everything you need is delivered nicely packaged in a big box, really great! First you should look and read everything very carefully, then decide where the individual components should be installed and where the cabling should run. Without this little preparatory study, the whole thing will be pretty much nothing I had to purchase and install an additional panel with automatic circuit breakers, for example. After completing (complex) Installation was the commissioning with a 4-page description (only English) but really simple The menu of the P70S is very manageable and made friendly, just click through according to the short description and done then quickly turn a 360 circle on the water with 4Kts, enter deviation and not forgot to enter COMPASS LOCK ON The Tri runs straight upwind through the sea with 70cm waves ..... The installation description has gaps. Nowhere is it mentioned that the bus system is not powered by the ACU.

The best autopilot available at the moment!

Autopilot is still waiting to be installed, so nothing can be said about its use yet.
The enclosed documentation including installation instructions is very understandable and clearly laid out.
Just be careful when assembling the EV sensor, the cover is only held together with very small plastic clips. Repeated opening and reassembly should be avoided. The plastic tabs can actually only withstand one-time assembly.
