Decent socket
Everything's good so far - but no long-term experience with wind and weather yet.

Bought a second one as I dedtroyed the first in a crash
I have mounted this on my non-electric cargo bike I use for bicycle touring.

It is fed by a 23w solbian all-in-one. Obviously, it cannot max out the power of the flip pro max, as
the usb charger is not limited to 2x 18w sockets (like motorbike equivalents) and as both sockets are usb c with both Power Delivery and QC, it is much better than what is for sale for motorbikes and cars.

I only wish it had a shorter and more waterproof backside, because due to my weird use, I needed thst protected too (which I have done).

Yes, I would buy this again. And I already have as I destroyed one in a hard crash. And if it happens again, I will replace it again.

Good as usual.
Despite the high price, it's worth it and will definitely last forever.

Solid and easy to install
The price is very high, but the socket is solid, the spring-loaded cover is sturdy, and the whole thing uses standard dimensions and is easy to install (provided you have good access to the installation location from behind).

Function is good; charging performance not yet tested.

12V socket too deep
It's a good product in itself, BUT many 12V plugs widen after 4-5 cm because they're designed for 12V car sockets. However, these 12V sockets are deeper than the cigarette lighter socket in a car. This can mean that the positive terminal of the plug doesn't reach far enough into the socket to make contact. In my case, two (12V to USB-AC) out of three (headlight) plugs are affected. A workaround is to use an adapter with a slim, long plug and a shallower 12V socket at the end.

Limited use only
The 12V socket makes a good initial impression, like other products from the manufacturer. The sturdy, self-closing flap with seal was particularly convincing in my decision to buy it (despite the higher price).

What's really annoying, however, is that the socket has a surprisingly deep interior. This means that only very long, slim plugs can make electrical contact. If the plug is slightly shorter or even slightly thicker at the back, the socket unfortunately can't be used. Even a good standard 12V plug barely fits here (I doubt it would make permanent contact). Unfortunately, some USB adapters didn't fit either! The only advantage is that you could probably leave very slim, flush-fitting 12V USB adapters in the socket. I think that was the manufacturer's primary intention.

The internally installed red LED looks nice, but somehow doesn't make sense to me.

So far, I've had better experiences with the BLUE SEA 12V socket (SVB No. 11850). Good quality, universally applicable, and significantly less expensive.
