Will no longer comply with regulations from January 2025. Can you continue to use it or do you have to convert to MOB2?
I have three, one in each life jacket, because when you are on single watch at night the MOB alarm is automatically triggered on the radio.

Additional rescue equipment
I use the watch as an additional rescue tool in coastal areas. Seems to me to be a very handy addition to traditional rescue tools.

Unfortunately I don't know whether there can be a test run - that would be very nice - it provides security in the event of an emergency.

Battery
The battery lasts a short time, 24 hours at rest, if an activity is started it can be 12 hours.

Fits perfect due to compact size

Programmable
The MMSI is programmed using a flickering field on the screen. Cool idea.

Sensible!
I hope I never need to be rescued. There are also monthly running costs. Overall, the watch should have more features.

AIS distress transmitter
I can't say yet whether the transmitter works. But from the description it's a really great device that I will always carry with me. Programming to your own MMSI is a bit tricky because it depends on the quality of the screen of the device being programmed. It only worked for me with the third device (desktop, notebook, tablet). Only with this connection to the radio does the distress transmitter really make sense.

Follow-up costs unclear!
The offer seemed very attractive at first. However, when I tried testing the watch, I discovered that all functionality is only available with a valid app subscription. Who needs a year-round subscription, which would really only be useful if you're out on the water? This means that even the "normal functions" like heart rate monitoring, etc., aren't available during the subscription-free period. With a monthly subscription cost of approximately €12, this is no longer attractive. The operating instructions are also rather unclear.

Range disappointing
I bought the watch as a cheap addition to the easyAIS emergency transmitter. It is comfortable to wear, configuration is no problem for people with an IT background, but operating the watch itself takes some getting used to. However, I am disappointed with the range. In the Outer Weser, the position is no longer sent to the app about 5 miles past the power quay. It is certainly fine for the beach area, kiting, windsurfing or on land, but is nothing more than a nice gimmick when sailing. The battery life of a maximum of 7 hours is not really sufficient for tracking longer stretches. Perhaps the situation is a little better in the Baltic Sea.

cryptic incomplete operating instructions unannounced additional costs
The idea is great, unfortunately the necessary subscription for the services costs another 12 months - it would be nice if this was clearly announced. The operating instructions are far too short, after reading carefully I still don't know how to operate the watch...... - I fear that this was a wasted investment - a shame really

The product is fine as a watch but as an emergency device I do not recommend it for use in Italy.
A little complicated to use and not very intuitive, it lacks a dedicated application on smartphones.
