Fast delivery - decent packaging - good value for money - easy assembly thanks to the quick-connect fittings (gas already in the unit) - small and compact, can be installed in confined spaces (but be sure to have very good ventilation) - the evaporator can be gently bent to, in my case, give it a 90-degree angle - quiet - very quick setup - we'll see how it performs this summer when the heat arrives. A little tip: don't underestimate the wiring gauge and remember to get the mounting plate.
It's a good product that I recommend!

I particularly like the quick-release fasteners, which replace the soldered and therefore rigid connections of the previous model.

Compared to the more elongated products, this unit is truly compact and can be easily installed even in tight spaces thanks to the mounting plate and bayonet mount. The plate can be easily attached without any interference, and then the unit can simply be placed on top and locked into place.

For 25 years, a Compact Classic cooling system from SVB has been supplying our ship's 40l cool box with cold without any problems, thanks to the extreme insulation of the box, either in cool or deep freeze mode. After this long time, the compressor became weaker and we decided to completely replace it. Another Compact Classic, of course! During the replacement, a problem arose that we were able to solve immediately thanks to the first-class advice from SVB. Thanks again!

I interfaced it with a digital thermostat which allows a wider temperature range.

I received the product a day late despite a guaranteed UPS which was more expensive!!! Damage.
Installation of the group is very simple with a plate provided which lays flat or surface-mounted thanks to its bracket. Simplified screw fixing since the group is not fixed. The group is fixed to this plate via 4 locks which are activated with 2 pull tabs. Super simple and very quick to set up
Installing the evaporator in a confined space took longer to complete. But with a little patience it was done. The thermostat is placed outside. The capillary tube is fixed to the evaporator via 2 screws and a guide plate. Simple. Connecting the cold circuits is super simple. We screw the evaporator ends by hand onto those of the compressor and end up blocking using two 16 and 19 mm wrenches. The connection had been prepared in advance for me with a 220 V 12-24 V transformer
The thermostat is easy to connect and the connection diagram is well explained. We connect the direct voltage to the control box and a few moments later the plate cools. A real success within the reach of the conscientious DIYer. I recommend this kit much cheaper than my previous Dometic which did not last 3 seasons.

Used to replace an old cold unit

After my old unit finally became unserviceable I had to find a replacement option. This combination appears to have been the perfect choice. Easy enough to fit myself and using less energy than I expected though it is cooler weather being earlier in the year.
