Very good but not the same we were used to

These hats were very good but not the same quality anymore.
They are softer than used to and now they have the SM size.
I used to buy the M and it was ok. Now, the SM is smaller than the old M. probably buying the L next year.
But still good quality hats.

We compared this hat to two competitor products. It fits significantly worse, too snugly, and is therefore very easily lost if the chin strap isn't pulled tight. Apparently, functionality has been sacrificed for fashionable design. The purpose of being able to button up the sides remains unclear. Does it look more dashing?
