It would be nice if the shoulders of the hook eye were more rounded. As it is, the block isn't suitable for attaching to a strop or rope eye. Otherwise, it's okay.

It fits well, isn't bothersome, and does what it's supposed to. The brim is just the right amount more flexible than on the Musto hat, resulting in less wind resistance. The secure fit has been confirmed in practice; even in gusty 20 knots, the hat stayed firmly and securely in place without the chin strap, both on my wife and me (different head shapes – I have a crooked head ;)

We compared this hat to two competitor products. It fits significantly worse, too snugly, and is therefore very easily lost if the chin strap isn't pulled tight. Apparently, functionality has been sacrificed for fashionable design. The purpose of being able to button up the sides remains unclear. Does it look more dashing? The Gill hat is also more adjustable.
