The order form is easy to use. You receive regular email updates on the order and delivery status, and depending on the product, installation instructions are also included. The ordered goods always arrive well-packaged, and deliveries are consistently quite fast.
Up until this delivery, I was very satisfied—until UPS got involved. It couldn't get any worse. How am I supposed to get my things now if this pickup shop only opens when other people have to work? To make matters worse, I have a crane appointment in five days. Damn.
I ordered a nautical chart on a chip and was surprised that – unlike usual – I didn't receive a prompt shipping confirmation. A quick phone call with the incredibly helpful customer service representative, and bam, the chart was in my mailbox the very next day. Thumbs up! However, I'm deducting points for the packaging. It's often oversized; it's mostly just air.
I have been an SVB customer since 1992. This fact alone is a sufficiently good rating. However, the delivery service contracted by SVB is becoming increasingly unreliable. Once again, a package was not delivered to me, even though I was home. I paid for home delivery. Such behavior on the part of the delivery service is unethical.
I'd gladly use them again. It's a bit like the old days. You call a reputable company and instead of a menu or someone you can't understand, you get a friendly and competent employee. Fantastic!
