Notes on programming:
This PLB must be programmed with your personal data before dispatch. The appliance will not function without prior programming.
The programming of this data must be carried out by us, you cannot do this yourself.
As a rule, we program a PLB so that it can be used as an EPIRB. This means that the device is programmed and registered to a vessel and not a person. To do this, we need your personal data such as MMSI, boat name and call sign.
Please add the above-mentioned programming accordingly and complete the form in full.
If you require programming for a specific person, we can also do this for you.
The registration of the device to the respective country code must, in any case, be carried out by us.
Please let us know in which country you would like to register the device. Since there are no authorities for PLB emergency beacons in Germany, you can, for example, find information about the further procedure on the website of the English authorities ( https://www.gov.uk/register-406-beacons ) In addition, the registration of the PLB should be carried out on the website of the IBRD (International Beacon Registration Database) ( https://www.406registration.com/ ). We would also like to point out that, in accordance with the regulations of the respective country, you must register the EPIRB personally as the licence holder with the competent authority.
Please note that programming the RLS function and therefore using the RLS function is only possible in countries that support the RLS system. Further information on this subject can be found on the Cospas Sarsat website.
The small but resilient ResQLink View RLS is a buoyant personal locator beacon and features the new Return Link Service (RLS) function. With the RLS feature, the beacon notifies you that your distress message has been received and your location has been detected.
Thanks to three levels of integrated signalling technology - GPS positioning, a powerful 406 MHz signal, and 121.5 MHz homing function - the ResQLink View RLS quickly and accurately relays your position to a worldwide network of search and rescue satellites. Furthermore, a built-in strobe facilitates rescue at night or other low visibility conditions. Simply deploy the antenna, press the ON button and ResQLink RLS View does the rest.
The beacon has also been designed with comfort in mind. Featuring an innovative multi-function clip system, it has numerous wearability options that address a variety of usage applications.
RLS function
With the RLS function, the beacon notifies you that your distress message has been received and your location has been detected via the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network. User confirmation is distinctly indicated by a flashing blue light. Additionally, GPS coordinates and live status are shown on the display.
