AUTOTERM COMFORT CONTROL / for air heaters

The new Comfort Control display panel boasts a modern design and numerous functions, such as four different heating modes, three adjustable timers and a fan function. Designed for use with Autoterm's 2D and 4D diesel hot air heaters.

Design and operation
The control unit has a modern design and features a rotary knob with intuitive menu navigation. But that's not all. Two further buttons complete the unit - a back button to return to the previous screen and a quick button to start or stop the heater without calling up the menu.

Four different adjustable heating modes
Four different heating modes can be operated via the control unit. These include thermostat mode, power mode, temperature mode and heating and ventilation.
The intelligent thermostat function automatically switches the heating on when the temperature falls below a set number and similarly turns it off once a set temperature is reached. In this case, the unit heats until 1 °C over the pre-selected temperature. Combustion then switches off and the heater runs in ventilation mode until the temperature has dropped 5 degrees below the preset temperature. The heating process then automatically resumes. Exact heating power is additionally set via the power mode and the temperature mode maintains the set temperature range.

Fan function
When the device is operated in fan mode, air circulation in the room can be significantly improved. This prevents the build-up of heat and the formation of mould.

Voltage monitoring
This screen allows monitoring of voltage at all times so as to avoid battery discharge. A voltage limit can be set up. After the voltage limit has been reached, the heating automatically switches off.

Freeburn reminder
An auxiliary heating system will always need to be "freewheeled", i.e. burnt free from time to time so that the combustion chamber does not become sooty and affect performance. So that this doesn't happen, the unit reminds you at regular intervals that the heating needs to be unblocked.

Timer function
Thanks to the unit's timer function, you can determine in advance when and in which operating mode the heater should work. Choose between "every day", "every week day" or "set day".

NOTE
The Comfort Control control panel works with almost every Autoterm Air heater. However, there may be exceptions. This may be the case with older Planar 44D or 4D heaters without fans. There is generally no issue in using the control unit from the 2017 model year onwards (type 4D).
2 kW heaters (type 2D) will work with the new control panel for all years of manufacture.
