BAVARIA Pane for deck-mounted windows

These windows fit perfectly as replacements for the old ones on our Bavaria 38 Cruiser. We replaced them after the old ones became very brittle and were no longer watertight. It was great that the mounting kit for the replacement window was included. Replacing each window takes about 30-45 minutes.

Had a small delay with Lewmar, but Svb kept on top of the order and kept me informed about what was happening.

Perfect replacement for broken Bavaria panel without changing the full wicket

The replacement took place because the old panes had become grainy, almost opaque, presumably as a result of years of UV exposure. Fast delivery of the pane, as shown with the fittings already glued on. During assembly, it is advisable to first remove the frame (it is only clipped on) with the window open, so you can better access the screws. Use a suitable Allen key and do not tilt the hinge screws. Installation in reverse order without any problems, disc fits exactly. But it can now only be closed with great effort. Reason The old disk is 7.3 mm thick, but the new one is 8.0 mm. Mail to SVB-Bavaria Yes, Lewmar has increased the material thickness, the problem is known. That is why SVB also offers a new set of fittings that is set to the 8 mm. But you can try to adapt the fittings with thin washers. Result No significant improvement, perhaps the problem will resolve itself over time.
