CLIPPER Wireless Wind (plus sensor)

Flag of English Hello, does the product show true wind when connected to a GPS or a log device via NMEA0183?

No it does not, this model shows apparent wind speed and direction only. You can order the 'True Clipper wireless wind' from SVB though.

True Clipper Wireless? Can't find that?

You can order this from SVB if you send them a message

TARGET V2 Wind Indicator

Flag of English Hello, in the documentation for this product #TARGET V2 Wind Indicator#, it doesn't say anything about connecting to nmea01832. the only schematic is the wires from the sensor to the display through the power module and connections. Thanks Dan Popescu ([email protected] )

The NMEA 0183 output is direct from the mast unit. If you want to connect the output to a second device other than the Target Wind display, simply parallel connect the blue and black/silver wires from the mast unit. Blue is NMEA 0183 + and the black/silver is NMEA reference or -.

Thanks, I'm trying to get data into a pi (SignaK).

CLIPPER Duet Echo-Sounder/Log

Flag of English Hello, Does this package contain everything required for this instrument to work? Or, there are some additional parts that should be bought separately.

The package contains everything required. The only part you may want is an optional "in hull mounting kit" for the depth transducer.

Could you please the item no? And also give some more info about its purpose? Thank you.

Its an optional product for fitting the depth transducer inside a single skin GRP hull, this example is not of NASA Marine manufacture but looks very similar https://www.svb24.com/en/in-hull-transducer-fitting.html

Electromagnetic Log with Databox

A question about:
NASA NMEA2000 Wind System

Flag of English The title and the technical details speak of NMEA 2000 but the short description and the pictures show NMEA 0183 converter box. Which one is it?

The mast unit outputs NMEA 0183 data. It connects to the converter box which then connects directly to the NMEA 2000 back bone.

CLIPPER Wireless Wind (plus sensor)

Flag of English When I connect everything according the instructions, I'm only getting two lines on the display. No reading. The transmitter and received don't seem to be communicating. The Transmitter has been under the sun for 12 hours now. Did anyone else experienced that issue ?

This means the display is not receiving the NMEA data from the receiver box. Is the RED led on the receiver box flashing? If not, it isn't communicating with the mast head unit.

A question about:
CLIPPER V2 Wind Indicator

Flag of English Does this product shows apparent wind speed and direction and, when connected to a log or GPS or just true wind spped/direction?

This product shows apparent wind speed and direction only, there is another version available 'Clipper Tactical wind system' that uses a different display with an NMEA 0183 input for boat speed via a log or GPS. This prioduct shows both apparent and True wind data.

But does SVB sell Clipper Tactical ?

It seems not I am also looking for the Tactical

Recommend you appeal to SVB to stock this item, they are a good 'listening company'
