Although coating thickness and solvent content are often thinner than with conventional protective coatings, nano varnishes and nano sealants are extremely scratch-resistant and can withstand mechanical stress and wear. In addition, they offer improved resistance to UV radiation, which means that colour pigments last longer and the painted surfaces do not fade as quickly. Nano-technology also provides antimicrobial resistance to bacteria, fungi, moss, algae and other germs. These properties make nano sealants ideal for use on sailing and motor boats.
