ECHOMAX ACTIVE X Active Radar Reflector

To significantly improve your visibility

The ACTIVE X active radar reflector from ECHOMAX is designed to significantly improve the visibility of small watercraft on radar systems. The ACTIVE X receives radar waves in the X-band (9.3–9.5 GHz) and transmits them back, amplified and on the same frequency, with virtually no delay. This makes your vessel appear larger on the radar and therefore easier to spot – comparable to a yacht around 25 metres long. The function is therefore particularly beneficial for small boats and inflatable boats, as their radar reflectivity is otherwise very low. Whilst without a booster you are often only detectable over short distances of 1 to 2 nautical miles, your detectability can increase to around 8–10 nautical miles. However, this depends, among other things, on the weather, signal quality and sea conditions.
