Newly developed distress radio buoy (EPIRB) with powerful electronics. With ACR's Epirb GlobalFIX V4, your safety at sea and chances of survival in an emergency increase significantly.
The device is either activated manually with a push button or automatically when it comes into contact with water. Water activation is only possible after the EPIRB has been released from the bracket. After activation, the internal 66-channel GPS ensures fast location determination. The coordinates are then transmitted to a satellite at a frequency of 406 MHz for at least 48 hours. In addition, a search signal is sent out to 121.5 MHz, so that an aircraft, helicopter or SAR vessel can locate your position. The powerful, strobe-light makes the device highly visible in the dark. In order to prevent the the device from being triggered unintentionally, a cover has been installed to protect the release button.
The integrated battery has a lifespan of 10 years and can be easily replaced by the user afterwards. Supplied with standard bracket for wall mounting.
