The lantern makes a very good impression. During a test run with GSK lamp oil, it worked flawlessly. Not even a soot formation was visible. Just made in Germany :)

Feedback on the Feuerhand kerosene lantern
I am currently using the Feuerhand for places without electricity (garage, basement, apartment (in the event of a power failure). The light is comparable to a candle, but OK. It's a wick lantern. But the consumption is very low. However, I would have a small one If you want (illustrated) instructions that show how the lantern is to be dismantled, the wick can be exchanged, which petroleum is the best, where there are spare parts if necessary, whether the lantern can also tolerate vegetable petroleum, etc.

After only one year, the lamp is completely covered with rust stains. It still works, but is apparently not suitable for occasional outdoor use. So the surface treatment failed in my eyes. Here SVB should switch to the manufacturer Dietz, who also makes brass hurricane lanterns, among other things. The Feuerhand will be sampled accordingly and replaced with a brass lantern from Dietz. It costs three and a half times as much, but it will hopefully last longer than just one season.
