Product details

No awkward connector assembly, no soldering, no special tools! The both sided FME couplings RG8X coaxial cable is the easiest and fastest way to connect an antenna (equipped with FME connectors) to the radio. The FME couplings are simply bolted to the antenna (left hand thread). O-Rings provide waterproof contacts. The high quality 50 Ohm cable has much lower attenuation values than the commonly used RG58.
Cable diameter: 6mm, 9mm diameter (taken into account in cable ducts).
Available in different lengths. Color: white

Note:
Usable with different optional adapters for connections like PL259, SO239, N or BNC.

Usual antenna line. I have to lead the line through the mast of a sailing boat, through a deck duct (gooseneck) inward to the radio. To do this, however, one of the two plugs must be cut off and instead a PL plug must be soldered to the cable after laying so that the cable can be connected to the VHF radio. Unfortunately, you pay for a plug that cannot be removed and can only be disposed of after cutting.

GLOMEX bietet Antennen und Zubehör in Form eines Baukastensystems an (Glomeasy Serie). Die Einzelkomponeneten können bedarfsgerecht ausgewählt und ohne spezielles Werkzeug (z.B. Lötkolben, Crimpzange, etc.) auf einfachstem Wege montiert werden.
Das hier bewertete RG 8X Antennekabel hat bessere elektrische Eigenschaften als das übliche RG 58 Kabel. Der Kabeldurchmesser ist 6 mm Durchmesser, die FME-Verschraubungen sind im Bereich des Sechskants 9 mm, d.h. zur Kabeldurchführung wird lediglich eine Bohrung von ca. 10 mm benötigt.

Ein kleiner Praxis-Tipp
Wenn dennoch ein FME-Stecker abgeschnitten werden muss, dann werfen Sie den nicht sofort weg!
Schneiden Sie nicht direkt am Stecker ab, sondern lassen Sie ein Stück Kabel dran. Kaufen Sie sich einen weiteren PL-Stecker (- wir freuen uns!) und bauen Sie sich damit ein kurzes Adapterstück.
Bei Problemen mit der Funkanlage kann mit dessen Hilfe die Antenne direkt mit dem Funkgerät verbunden und getestet werden.

Hello, I'd like to replace old cable with RG8X Antenna Cable. On the radio side I will use an FME-PL259 Adapter. Do I need any adapter to connect FME to RA106 antenna or it will fit directly?

Hello Pawel, the RA106 also has a PL socket. You will need to install an FME-PL259 adapter for RG8X #74469# on the antenna side of the cable as well. BEst regards, SVB-Team Bremen

hi, I decided to change cables onto FME cables instead of Rg58/old one that I had. I also bought an antenna that match that connection without any adabter. Further I needed connection between the mastcable and the "inhouse-cable" and I went for the fme to fme adabter 74467 and then finally the adabter onto the vhf radio...74469.
