INTERNATIONAL MICRON 350 - Self-polishing high-performance antifouling

MICRON 350 from INTERNATIONAL is a highly developed antifouling product that has been specially designed for use in maritime watersports. It provides effective protection for boats and yachts in salt water, fresh water or brackish water. Because it is self-polishing, it ensures a smooth surface and reduces the growth of algae and other organisms.

Self-polishing technology for optimum protection

The self-polishing copolymer technology used in Micron 350 antifouling ensures continuous renewal of the protective layer. This leads to an even biocide release and prevents the formation of thick layers, which improves the boat's performance and reduces fuel consumption, making it particularly suitable for boats that spend long periods in the water.

Versatile application options for Micron 350 antifouling

INTERNATIONAL Micron 350 antifouling is suitable for a wide range of substrates, including GRP, wood, steel and lead. However, it is not recommended for aluminium or galvanised surfaces. Application is simple and can be done by brush, roller or airless spraying.

Processing instructions

Technical data:

Application temperature: +5° C to +35° C
Dust-dry: after approx. 45 minutes, at 15 °C
Recoatable: after approx. 10 hours, at 15 °C

Surface preparation

Surfaces that have already been coated:

In good condition: Clean the surface thoroughly, wet sand with 80 to 120 grit sandpaper.
In unknown or incompatible condition: Seal the surface with a suitable barrier coat.
In poor condition: Remove old antifouling completely with Interstrip.

GRP (Gelcoat):

Clean the surface, degrease (thinner no. 3), then prime with Gelshield 200 (osmosis protection) or Primocon.
Then apply two coats of MICRON 350. Repeat every 12 months.

Wood:

Clean and degrease the surface, then prime with Interprotect or Primocon.
Apply two coats of MICRON 350. Repeat annually.

Steel/lead:

Clean thoroughly, degrease, prime with Interprotect or Primocon.
Apply two coats of MICRON 350 and renew annually.

Note:

Not compatible with VC17m or PTFE-containing antifoulings.
