The CV7 ultrasonic wind sensor is compact and light with very low power consumption. Thanks to ultrasound technology, this wind vane-anemometer is free of mechnical parts, such as paddle-wheels and is therefore less fragile. You can connect the CV7 to all modern navigation instruments with an NMEA0183 interface. Ideal for sailboats. Measuring range 0.25 to 80 knots. Temperature range -20 to +60 °C.

I need to fit a complete new electronic system to my vessel and therefore have an opportunity to mix and match for the optimal system. I like the idea of the ultrasonic wind sensor, but need to know whether it will interface to any particular system, instrument, or direct to a multi function chartplotter. B&G chartplotter is on my shortlist. Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated.

Late response but I have this system hooked up to my B&G system and it integrates fine. It’s been there for 2 years now.
