Product details

High-performance electric windlass for cruising yachts and motorboats in the medium size range up to 13.5 metres in length. The KOBRA windlass is characterised by its robust construction, high pulling force and tried-and-tested LOFRANS technology, which ensures comfortable and safe anchoring manoeuvres. With this horizontal windlass, the housing – made from seawater-resistant aluminium – is located on deck, whilst the motor is installed below deck.

Corrosion-resistant housing
The corrosion-resistant housing is made from high-quality anodised marine-grade aluminium and offers excellent resistance to saltwater and the harsh conditions encountered on board, ensuring a long service life even under demanding conditions. On the horizontal model, the seawater-resistant aluminium housing is mounted above deck, while the motor is installed below deck. This design also makes the windlass suitable for boats with smaller foredecks.

Independent operation of gypsy and capstan
The KOBRA windlass is fitted with a hauling capstan, which enables the windlass to carry out additional line-handling tasks. It enables controlled handling of mooring and hauling lines and can assist with harbour manoeuvres. To ensure maximum flexibility on board, the gypsy and the hauling capstan can be operated independently.

Electric operation
The KOBRA anchor windlass is powered by a high-performance 1000 W motor combined with a precisely matched gearbox. A relay box is included for straightforward control of the windlass. The powerful motor delivers high pulling force, allowing the anchor to be recovered quickly and safely, even in demanding conditions. For convenient electric operation, a range of optional remote controls and foot switches is available.
For added safety, the windlass can also be operated manually in an emergency.

Manual chain release
The electric anchor windlass is equipped with a manual chain release, allowing the anchor chain to be paid out quickly and under control.

The product received did not correspond to the bestaelten and and of you confirmed product !!! Ordered was windlass with 3 (three) connection contacts, supplied and received was product me 2 (two) contacts .... Also today's picture shows windlass Kobra with three terminals and not with 2, as supplied.

In my anchor winch of the same type, the engine has broken. For Lofrans winches there is unfortunately no information on whether spare parts are available at all, let alone with which delivery date. I would have preferred to buy a wind from another manufacturer. because this would have been connected with extensive adjustment to my boat I had me teeth crunching the same winds bought. Nevertheless, the advice of the SVB employees was competent and honest. However, it is advisable for everyone to buy a product from Lofrans due to the uncertain supply of spare parts. Therefore, only one star with satisfaction.
Our answer
Die Firma Lofrans ist im Herbst 2012 verkauft worden. Die Wiederaufnahme der Produktion hat sich leider etwas verzögert, sodass es zu Engpässen bei der Ersatzteilversorgung gekommen ist. Ansonsten haben Sie mit einer Lofrans-Ankerwinde eines der besten Produkt an Bord.

Bad support form Lofran
I bought this windlass to replace my old Lofrans that has been discontinued, so I couldn't buy the parts to repair it, Then the control box begin to malfunction. when putting anchor down. UP is working.
I contacted the warranty, they asked a lot of questions pictures and videos, finally, they reply me that the control box is malfunctioning. So now they ask me to sent the parts to them to evaluation and them they will send me the new part, mean while I need to put the chain up by hand, just because they policy don't send the parts before receive the malfunctioned one before. If your a cruiser probably not the product you should have.
So I have 2 windlass from Lofrans with problems in less than 1 year.
