Electromagnetic horn from MARCO, well suited for small boats. With a particularly resistant cover made of high quality plastic (ASA). Supplied with mounting brackets in stainless steel. Technical data: 12 V, 107 dB (1m), 400 Hz, 5 A.

To operate the electric horn a switch with a capacity of 10 A is required. This is not included.

I had to replace the mounted bracket on the horn for side mounting. This bracket made of VA sheet is screwed with a cap nut. The same is very firmly glued with screw lock. The disassembly worked, when loosening I had strong concerns that the screw of the horn would come loose from the plastic horn housing. Furthermore, the holder has an anti-rotation device and there is a suitable cam on the lower part of the injection molded part. This should be shown in more detail on the product page.

A well designed product but the metal internals are not protected against seawater corrosion. A simple spray-on coating of exposed metal parts during manufacture would suffice. Sound level is OK, and the style is modern and pleasing.
