Runs perfectly via NMEA0183 NMEA2000 great support from SVB The sensor works with both our very old Seiwa 701i via NMEA 0183 and the much more modern Furuno GP1870 via CANbus NMEA 2000. Theoretically, even parallel operation would be possible. For the former, you obviously don't need the converter box, as the wind sensor sends NMEA 0183-MWV data directly. Here, you should make sure to configure the input on the display correctly (NMEA 0183 4800-N81-N) and check whether older plotters, in particular, can read the MWV data. We contacted Seiwa directly and received a positive response within just one day. Wiring Blue NMEA Out Black GND Red DC Power Supply The price-performance ratio of this product is also pretty unbeatable. My brother has been using a NASA wind sensor on his boat for years, and the sensor has never been a problem. Conclusion I would buy it again and again. A big thank you to Mr. Clasen from SVB for his brainstorming and consultation on this topic.

NASA MARINE

The mast unit outputs NMEA 0183 data. It connects to the converter box which then connects directly to the NMEA 2000 back bone.

The system is running, the wind angel is correct, but the wind speed is 0. the rotor is running and we have about 3 Bft. What can be the reason?
