Product details

The PELA oil extractor pump is a manually operated vacuum pump for quick and simple removal of fluids, making engine oil changes, gear oil changes etc extremely easy and unproblematic. The pump is ideal for oil changes on boats, cars (although not recommended with angled dipsticks), lawn mowers, power equipment etc.

The suction hose is inserted into the engine through the dipstick opening. Simply move the pump lever up and down a few times to create a vacuum. The liquid (oil, bilge water, etc.) is then sucked in and collects inside the pump housing.

Ideal for use at home, in the garden and on board. The pump can be disassembled and easily stored. 6 litre capacity. Height: approx. 550 mm, housing diameter: approx. 230 mm Without automatic shut-off function.

Supplied with 1 nylon tube with an inner diameter of approx. 3 mm and a length of 2.10 m.

Note: This suction pump is not designed for the suction of fuels.

It doesn't absorb oil at all, even when using it with a hot engine, you can pump as much as you want, but it doesn't suck up much.

Bad fit, poor absorption
I have been giving more than an hour to the pump, and it gets stuck a lot, you have to raise and lower the hose to drain some oil. Only 3 liters in more than an hour. After opening the lid of the carter I took out a gallon and a half in my Seat Cordoba 1.9 SDI. I'll throw the Pela Oil 6000 in the trash. 53.90 euros in the trash.

Disappointed very disappointed...
I made my drain on my 307 HDI 90cv (phase 2) of 2006 and the result is not really convincing. The pump operates normally but it is impossible to see if the oil runs into the container. Indeed, the tubing being transparent and the oil dark once it is mounted through impossible to verify if it continues to convey correctly. It is necessary to verify the container and to verify the level. Also after a first emptying but for the following times your container being already contaminated you could only see the level of oil by removing the cap to arrive to see the bottom of the jar. The container being blackened by the uses. Moreover, it is there that I am very disappointed: all the oil is not aspirated and it is necessary to pump continuously as soon as the pressure decreases. Indeed it is necessary contrary to what one tells you in the practice or on the videos, to pump regularly so as not to defuse the aspiration otherwise your oil will not rise. You are told (and it is the one who laughs) that as soon as the air bubbles arrive in the tubing it is that the crankcase is emptied (or emptied). But how do you want to see anything when the oil inside the tubing has blackened the lead? For my part I hear the suction made of the noises of air bubbles proof that it does not aspire everything while the casing is not empty! The crankcase of my car is not completely emptied and I even bought a thinner extension of 0.3 mn (to go further in the crankcase); I'd have to abstain it did not work for that. Frankly I would not recommend it to you at the price it costs. Advertising false nothing is worth the good old drainage I assure you, because draining with this is not assured and there is at least a good third in the crankcase (even pumping as best you can) And then think of the storage of your device it is soiled and the oil can flow if it is misplaced (it always remains a little oil). Moreover he does not give advice for maintenance either. If he did at least his work I would have had less remorse at having ordered it, but did not believe what you are boasting :-(
