The Raymarine iTC-5 converts analog transducer signals from ST60+, i70, ST70+ and ST70 instrument systems to SeaTalkng.
Speed, depth, wind, rudder angle and compass heading transducers can be connected directly to an iTC-5, eliminating the need for multiple ST70 pods.

Can someone explain to me what is the difference between installing an ITC-5 or alternatively a Seatalk to Seatalkng converter into a seatalk ng network?? Please reply at [email protected]

The iTC-5 is a data converter to which analog transducers are connected (wind, log, sounding, rudder angle and compass) and this analog data is then converted to SeaTalk NG data sets. The SeaTalk1-to-SeaTalk-NG converter translates the old Raymarine proprietary bus language SeaTalk1 to today's SeaTalk-NG, for example, to bring older instruments together with newer chartplotters.
