I already have 2 ST2000s (one in reserve), it works great with it. The handling is absolutely easy, and if you pass the calibration clean, then the pilot and the compass are almost identical. \ R \ nA great tiller pilot. \ R \ nThis is why I bought another for my son's boat because of the good experience Take pilots, if this runs super?

Product details

Since their development in 1973 by Autohelm, the ST1000 and ST2000 auto-pilots / tiller pilots have become the most popular in the world. They are the benchmark for performance, reliability and user-friendliness. State-of-the-art features and functions come as standard.

Built-in fluxgate compass, clearly arranged controls, safe from heeling up to 45°, alarm in case of course deviation, automatic yaw angle adjustment between 1.5° and 10°. The system is ready to be connected to a wind vane and hand remote control. Using the built-in NMEA 0180/0183 interface, the system can utilise data from navigators (and other manufacturers) and then automatically controls the entered sailing plan. The autopilot is equipped with an LC-display, which shows the currently controlled course in automatic mode, in "standby mode" the target course is shown. The autopilot is also SeaTalk compatible and can be connected to Raymarine's ST40/60 series without expansion.

PROBLEM WITH BROKEN PART IN THE PACKAGE

I received this product with the rotating part (floating nut) of the 6-pin plug broken in three pieces, I want the photo I took at the reception, the package did not bear any trace of shock this non-vital piece can be changed by myself. I will call the commercial service tomorrow in France. A priori this piece was broken before packing. I hope at least receive a new take, otherwise I will adapt a catch with two commercial studs. At which email address can I send the photo of the broken part? or possibly send you the broken part? Thank you Concerning this pilot ST2000, it replaces the one which I had for 12 years and which worked correctly (about 300 hours a year). It broke down last autumn and considering his age I preferred to orient myself towards a new identical model. The tiller pilot ST 2000 Plus is completely sufficient for the use as I use the device. Since I am predominantly alone sailing the tiller pilot is not to think away when setting the sails and under the engine during doldrums. Even if I have to go below deck, I can rely on it to stay on course. Here, however, I take a ride out of the ship, so that in gusts of wind not too strong pressure on the system mechanics is exercised. Alone under sail and only at the starter battery, I would not let run the self-steering systems, because I can not estimate the power consumption yet. At least not for hours. The instructions are good, you just have to read and familiarize yourself. Important!! The tiller pilot has to be adjusted !!! 1. On which side is the system mounted? Bb.- or Stb.-side the device needs the info otherwise it will not work. 2. By default, the sensitivity is set to 4. I reduced this value to 3 to have less power consumption. But everyone has to adjust and try it out for themselves. All in all, a practical thing that helps to assist and ease the individual sailing maneuvers.

Hello, the ST2000+ is suppilied with the standard installation accessories. If you need other accessories like pushrod extension, tiller bracket and cantilever socket assy, you have to order them separatly.
