Is it possible to buy the black plastic spindle as a replacement part? Mine broke after the container was hit by flying debris in a heavy storm mid Atlantic. The coiled line became tangled, making the unit impossible to use. I wrote to Plastimo asking if they could replace the plastic spindle and explained that ecologically and financially it was crazy to have to replace the whole system because one part failed. They responded sarcastically that because it was a safety part had I not considered replacing the whole unit? They missed the whole point entirely. So here’s a heads-up - if the fragile spindle breaks you will have to throw the whole system away - wasteful and expensive.
