Product details

Plain bearing block with swivel. The bearing parts are made of stainless steel. Cheeks are stiff and fibre-reinforced preventing lines from wedging. The composite is also fibre reinforced.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.

Does what it's supposed to do - gennaker bulkhead guidance

Used as a deflection for the gennaker bulkhead aft. Attached to the stern with a soft shackle using a cleat. Gennaker with 125 m2 is sailed with 12 mm Liros Color. Very satisfying combination.
Otherwise, as usual, fast delivery, good price-performance ratio, SVB standard ;-)

Selden quality

I use it to redirect the kicker pad. Clever locking of the vertebra built in. A high load series with blocks and halyard deflectors from Selden would be nice. For the higher loads in other places, I unfortunately have to switch to another manufacturer. Otherwise all good. Quality with tradition from Sweden.
