Product details
Sikaflex®-298 FC is a slightly thixotropicone-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant which cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity. It is suitable for bedding-in and sealing teak plank decking and to adhere solar panels. Sikaflex®-298 FC meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
Properties:
Sikaflex®-298 FC is suitable for bonding plastic deck coverings (except polyethylene / polypropylene) and for tightly embedding teak profiles and wooden boards on the deck. Suitable substrates are GRP, waterproof glued plywood, steel and aluminium with an anti-corrosion coating (EP or PUR acrylic-based) and stainless steel.
This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests must be carried out with original materials under the respective conditions.
NOTE: Sold only to commercial users!
