My brand new unit has arrived, but when I press PTT button, no signal is transmitted, and no TX icon appears on the screen. I click 'scan' button, and then hit PTT button, which should stop the channel scan, but it doesnt. Is my PTT button dead on arrival?
I guess it is DOA, mine worked fine at first.
Can I connect this to my Raymarine eS Series Chart Plotter? It would show the AIS targets on my Raymarine screen?
Hi Hannu, Yes that's correct. Ideally you connect both over the NMEA2000 Network
Does the VHF unit B&G V50 (that is on offer right now ) come with updated software (ie latest software upgrade, V.2.91 from 6/2017 or at least V2.87)? Thank you.
Hi Luka, the latest Firmware 2.91 should already on all devices be installed. Should this not be the case, unexpectedly, because from an older charge from the manufacturer, the device can be updated by the user himself using a B&G or Simrad plotter. The how to is described accordingly on the manufacturer's website
