Easy integration into existing systems
Already have a chartplotter on board? Whether using Raymarine, Simrad or Garmin devices, the NMEA2000 interface of the B&G VULCAN 5FS makes it easy to seamlessly integrate with existing systems.
The B&G VULCAN 5FS is the perfect complement to your existing system. For example, use the VULCAN 5FS as a control unit for your Simrad, Lowrance or B&G autopilot. Furthermore, the VULCAN 5FS can be used as a second instrument in your Raymarine system.
Take advantage of a multitude of possible applications, which are made possible by the integrated NMEA2000 interface, not to mention its space-saving installation dimensions.
The B&G VULCAN 5FS is an ideal control unit for your Simrad, Lowrance or B&G autopilot. Use the fully featured operating options of an autopilot display in conjunction with the navigation functions of a fully featured chartplotter. The B&G VULCAN 5FS offers you a promising combination.

With the help of the standardized NMEA2000 interface, the B&G VULCAN 5FS can be quickly and easily integrated into an existing system. Regardles of whether a Raymarine SeaTalkNG or Garmin NMEA2000 system. Both systems are compatible with each other using an adapter cable.
For example, use the wind data from your Raymarine system for the optimized B&G sailing software of the VULCAN 5FS.

So you know what lies ahead!
In conjunction with the optional Navico ForwardScan® transducer, the B&G VULCAN 5FS provides a 2D sonar image of the sea bed in front of your boat. In shallow, unknown, or poorly mapped waters, the ForwardScan® feature helps you stay afloat. It is also very useful in finding safe anchorage.

Finding fish made easy with Fishfinder and Downscan
As an alternative to the ForwardScan® transducer, you can connect a compatible 9-pin (black plug) fishfinder transducer to the B&G VULCAN 5FS. Depending on the type of installation, use the popular NAVICO HDI Transom (Fishfinder & Downscan) or NAVICO P319 (Fishfinder) transducer.

Hi guys! I last year bought a Vulcan 7fs for my Dehler 34 from 1991 and I am very pleased with it. I now have no other instruments in the boat beside the control panel for my EV-100 autopilot. All are connected to the nmea-2000 backbone with wind, log, depth tranducer also. I love the sailsteer panel but it bothers me that i have to switch between the plotter and the sailsteer, I would like both. I have thought about getting a b&g triton2 for wind and saildata but now I am interested in this manly to use the sailsteer. Opinions please. Triton2 or Vulcan 5fs for sail data? BR Janne Timgren in northern Sweden.
Hi Jan-Erik, I would recommend to go for a Triton2 display. You will have a clearer view on all instrument-data. And in view of future adds of board-instruments, or exchanges/upgrades, you have done the right start.
Please advice me cost and availability for a navionics + card containing the greek waters. Maybe keep my order in order to add this product also.
Dear Georgios, we recommend the Navionics+ 43XG Mediterradnean & Black Sea chart (Art.: 77239). Please mind that the B&G Vulcan5 uses Micro-SD cards, you can choose "Micro-SD" before you add the chart to your cart.
Sirs, Can the Volcun 5 FS can be configured on a chart-table as slave of a existing B&G Zeus2 on a Lagoon 400S2?
Dear Miguel, it´s possible to connect this both plotters. But only for simply data´s like speed, depth, gps, and so on. It´s not possible to transfer card-informations or depth-grafics. For the connection you have to use the NMEA2000 network. Your SVB-team.
I have Navionics app on my Android mobile device and can download them, Can such charts be used on this chart plotter?
Dear George, unfortunately that is not possible. You need to use Navionics+ or C-MAP MAX-N+ preprogrammed charts on the B&G Vulcan devices.
Thanks your reply. That means I have to buy the same charts yet again that I use. I have done that now about 4 times each time I upgrade/buy a new chart plotter. Seems very unfair.
If you have a convertible card on your old plotter on an SD card. Just put it in the new one
