Great device! The installation was easy, installation templates and all necessary material are included. The device itself was already known to me in the smaller version (Vulcan 5). You will see how it works on the boat, but the Sailsteer display is just awesome.

B&G - VULCAN 9 FS GPS, 9 inches For me, the Simrad Go7 was just a bit too small on the 24-foot Tri, and the "Sailsteer", which is particularly useful for sailors, was also missing. So please 1x VULCAN 9 FS The first one was unfortunately defective and was returned The second is a great device, many functions Simple operation, just read through the most important things and try them out, then it works! The device is relatively light and does not have a deep, heavy housing, so it is ideal for rotary bracket mounting. Like the old Simrad, the B&G also has fast and good satellite reception, no additional antenna is necessary on the GRP boat. Like the Simrad, the Vulcan can do something on the back get hot, a gentle breeze to cool down can never hurt Next week on the water and try everything!

Hi Willem, at the moment we don´t have the device on stock. From the manufacturer we normally recieve the devices with the latest software. In any case you can update the software easy by WIFI or with micro SD chart.

Hi, im thinking about the Vulcan 9 for my yacht. Now i have few qestions im thinkig about: - can i use the old depth sensor with coaxial wire from the old depthfinder? I need just the depth. (important) - I have an old Navico hydraulic autopilot (1996) - will it work together? (not so important) - the Navionics charts are some special or i can download it as i have it in my phone? Or is there some cheap source for charts as i would like to sail around the world again and dont want to spend all money for charts... (without charts is this device useless :-)) Thanks for any reaction! Stan

Hi Stan, you can only connect NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 devices to Vulcan9, no coax analog without interfacing to one of the above. Old AP won't work since it has no NMEA2000 interface and software. All kind of Charts will work from Navionics, C-Map and NV-Charts. But no chart from Navionics Mobile App. As example look online at the C-Map chart explorer to learn about coverage and sizes.

Hi Maciej, No, this is not possible, because the Vulcan have no Ethernetport. You only can conntect them, by NMEA2000 to share sensordata like depth, GPS, SOG, Wind etc.

No problem at all. N2k data is available to all connected devices at same time. The FoFree connected tablet need to chose which plotter shall be shown. So either Zeus3 or Vulcan.
