Product details

Notes on programming:

AIS MOB transmitters are pre-programmed with an MMSI, which is made up of the serial number, and do not need to be programmed by us before dispatch.

If the AIS MOB transmitter also has a DSC function, you can enter the MMSI number into the device yourself.
Licensed for sea rescue, the easyRESCUE emergency emitter enables the current position display of an MOB directly on your PC or chart plotter by using AIS technology. The easyRESCUE sends out an AIS emergency message, which can be received by all AIS units (Class A and Class B). The device is also equipped with an integrated, accurate and fast GPS of the latest generation. The "live" position of the injured person is visible with AIS on a PC or plotter.
Thus, each ship (commercial shipping, government vehicles, SAR, etc.) with AIS on board can initiate an immediate rescue operation and considerably increase your chances of survival. The emergency transmitter is activated by pressing a button. To view the position of the person in distress on a PC or plotter, a connected AIS receiver is necessary.
We recommend a neoprene arm holder to attach the emergency beacon to your body.

In itself a good device, but
no way to tie it to the man in any way. The various arm or other pockets are all unsuitable. If you drop your device in the water, which is really not unlikely, the rescuer is systematically guided to the floating device instead of the MOB! Serious lack of security. Since all the buttons are distributed happily across the device, there is no way to tie it to the man in any way. The various arm or other pockets are all unsuitable. If you drop your device in the water, which is really not unlikely, the rescuer is systematically guided to the floating device instead of the MOB! Serious lack of security. Since all the buttons are randomly distributed across the device, there is no option for retrofitting.

The holder clip with the sewing thread as a backup already shows that the manufacturer of the construction itself is not convinced. Whether the thread holds in an emergency is questionable. For "Made in Germany" a poor solution.

If the device is good, I will probably only be able to determine if I - not what I want to do - get into distress. \ r \ nWhat's missing is a sensible wrist strap for backup. Slips in the water when operating the device from the hand, so it was with the glory. Here should be improved in any case.

Not recommended in its current mechanical design.
Complex engineering, good engineering. But: The mechanical version of the lifejacket holder is a smooth 6! Even cheaper is not possible. After you find nothing in the attached description for handling, you have to come up with the idea, to look at You Tube ... Usually you have on the boat no permanent Internet reception ... In a few words and pictures can be without More complete the manual, right? If you have the device in use (with the belt buckle attached to the life jacket), then the device falls out at the latest on the first maneuver on deck. With luck only to the deck, with pitch right into the water to the bottom. It is a rescue device! We had two units on our tour to Iceland, luckily nobody went overboard. But the holder and belt buckle is so primitive, so that both devices fell down on first use. In the case of one device, then the locking pin is also broken. Just imagine, you're in the water and when you use the device falls out of the holder and thus immediately on the bottom of the respective sea ... For a decent holder, I would also beireit, 5 € to pay more. Greetings, OS
