Description
The YANMAR 1GM is a single-cylinder diesel engine from YANMAR’s GM series. It produces 7 PS at a maximum speed of between 3400 and 3600 revolutions per minute. At idle, it runs at 850 revolutions per minute. The valve clearance when cold is 0.20 millimetres on both sides; the oil capacity is 1.3 litres, and 15W40 engine oil is recommended. The YANMAR GM series also includes the two-cylinder 2GM and the three-cylinder 3GM, which differ in the number of cylinders and power output but share the same design and injection technology. The 1GM is characterised by its compact dimensions, low weight and simple, mechanical design without any electronics. These features make the YANMAR 1GM a widely used auxiliary engine for small sailing boats.
