Slight rework necessary
I would like to use the buoy hook in the Swedish archipelago, where you often moor with the stern line to a buoy. The decisive factor in buying it was the ability to secure the hook against unhooking, which is an advantage, especially with a small crew. The hook opening is relatively small, but I know from experience that the buoy is still easy to thread through because the hook has a good reach. Unfortunately, the safety wire in my model was too long, so that it would be blocked by the buoy eyelet and would not close. I shortened the wire myself to the correct length, and now it works perfectly.
