Our tips for the proper assembly of this unit:

First, you must provide voltage to the display device and connect it to the transmitter. Next, you must hold the transmitter in a water-filled plastic bag until a stable depth reading is achieved. Now, the final tuning of this device can be performed. However, if no stable depth reading can be successfully achieved, you should choose a breakthrough assembly instead.

Container is weak point
The set is practical, although sandpaper and Araldite or epoxy are probably on board every plastic yacht, or you can get them at any hardware store. The most important part, however, is the container and the oil. The container is made of a thin-walled plastic pipe, of poor quality compared to the black through-hull fitting for the log, for example. I doubt whether the container can hold the oil when the ship is pitching, because the lid is only put on. A screw cap with a seal would be necessary. It is best to seal the cable passage as well. In any case, it is advisable to cover the container with a protective covering made of wood or similar so that it cannot be accidentally torn off.

Moderate in practical application
Simple principle, reasonably well thought out. But unfortunately the included ARALDIT just wouldn't harden despite optimal conditions and the right mixing ratio. I then used thickened epoxy, which worked very well. Unfortunately, that was double the work at a relatively high price.

Glue
The glue is a disaster! I can only recommend working with a decent solid glue right away. Save yourself the hassle, the glue hadn't set even after more than a week! As have others
Customers have indicated that the component is not suitable for fixing the pipe. Had to clean the entire area with thinner and repeat the process with a new glue! Never again!

I wouldn't buy again
The installation kit should be used to install the transducer in the GRP boat hull.
It is positive that the encoder can be expanded at any time without great effort.
It was very poor that the glue or the Hartz was outdated and already gritty. The Hartz could no longer be squeezed out of the syringe. In short, the glue was useless!
A mixing spout was missing, which is common with other brands.
Credit for the extra cost and effort would be appropriate here!

TO AVOID
I installed the housing as shown in the instructions -repérer with a small bag water a place conducive to the sonar. -placing the housing vertically, make the cutouts from the to the shape of the hull. - stick them with the glue provided (which is a real shit do not use especially, prefer silka or ms 108). - Once it is dry put the oil and the probe. - Go to the board and see OUT where there was 1.30m. - Remove the probe from the hull with nothing and 1.30m. 29.95 € in the trash plus lost time. I want to clarify that this is not a NASA product but Feropilot. Positive point Always fast and clean delivery.
