I just bought a Seatec dinghy and was explicitly recommended this Polymarine 2-part adhesive for repairs by the salesperson in Kiel. Two questions: 1) Can this adhesive also be used for fender repairs? 2) The Polymarine instructions explicitly say you need the Polymarine 2903 solvent cleaner to prepare the surface before gluing. I was not recommended this in Kiel and do not have it on board. Can I still glue without the solvent cleaner or will I just make a mess?

Guten Tag, vor der Anwendung mit dem 2-K-Klebstoff sollen die Flächen sauber, trocken und fettfrei hergestellt werden. Das erreichen sie auch mit üblichen Reinigungsmitteln, Brennspiritus oder einer 1-K-Farbverdünnung. Mit freundlichen Grüßen, ihr SVB Team.

Hat leider auf meinem Fender nicht geklappt. Laut Hersteller ist die notwendige Vorstufe 2093 Lösemittel nicht nur reinigen und fettfrei machen, sondern auch die Oberfläche klebrig / schleimig machen. Das erreicht man nicht mit Reinigungsmittel, Spiritus, Aceton, usw. Bin ehrlich gesagt ziemlich enttäuscht: einerseits hab ich wenig Verständnis, warum das Lösemittel nicht zusammen mit der Klebe verkauft wird, wenn es unentbehrlich ist.
