Product details

The diesel combination filters are filters and water separators in one. The glass insert allows to check quickly and easily if water has accumulated. This water can be drained via a valve. The filter cartridges have a micron rating of 5, ie particles with a size of 0.005 mm and larger are filtered out.
Delivery includes: 2x straight hose nozzles (M14 x 1.5 / 8 mm hose), 2x blind plugs, 4x copper gaskets. The combination filter (66400) includes two rotary connections instead of straight connections.
Note: Only install the filter in the suction line between the tank and the pump.

Diesel combi FLOW 50: Combination unit consisting of a filter and water separator. For machines up to approx. 137 hp (100 kW), flow rate max. 50 l / h, dimensions without connections: Ø 95 mm, height: 175 mm.

2 different connection kits (M14x 1.5) are available optionally for all types.

Solid filter with complete accessories at an average price - let's see what it brings.

It is important that, according to the description, this filter can be installed on the suction side of the diesel pump - i.e. in front of the pump between the tank and the pump. Since our diesel tank simply uses a cavity in the steel hull that is not particularly easy to access (should be changed, but it is only planned later.), a lot of dirt, mucus and water was sucked in by the pump in the early days. The blocked pump then causes the motor to fail and had to be dismantled, disassembled and cleaned several times, or even replaced entirely. It hasn't happened since I've been using a biocide additive to diesel, but I don't trust peace. An alternative to this pre-filter would be a pre-tank day tank, which is integrated between the main tank and the engine and filled, checked and filtered. Dirt could settle there and the quality of the diesel in this tank can be kept under control through inspection openings and/or corresponding drain cocks and inspection glasses. What an extra effort! Hopefully this filter will serve that purpose in a similar way. Here, too, the sight glass must be checked regularly and water and dirt removed. I'll see what it brings. At the end of the season I could report on the result. Now shortly after the purchase? Barely.
