Good replacement for Schooner Gold Schooner Gold was out of stock, but I wanted to refresh the wood below deck. The varnish dries very slowly (about 5 hours until it is dry to the touch. It is excellent to work with and does not stink ;-). Delivered safely to Greece with other products. Thank you, SVB!

Product details

International's 1-component WOODSKIN varnish penetrates deep into the wood and leaves a thin film surface that does not crack or flake. The result is a breathable and water-repellent skin layer that still allows the wood to expand and contract. Suitable for use on all types of wood, including oily woods such as teak, and can be used on the interior and exterior. No sanding required between coats, will not crack or chip. Apply using a brush. Coverage: 10 m²/litre. Thinner No.1.

Processing instructions:

For coated surfaces:
Remove any existing layers of paint. Sanding is not necessary before applying Woodskin, but can be done as desired with 80-180 grit and then 280 grit. Then remove any sanding residue.

For uncoated surfaces:

Bare wood: Sanding is not necessary before applying Woodskin, but can be done as desired with 80-180 grit and then 280 grit. Then remove any sanding residue.
Oily woods: Sanding is not necessary before applying Woodskin, but can be done as desired with 80-180 grit and then with 280 grit. Then remove all dust and degrease the surface with Thinner No. 1.

Application: Woodskin can be applied to the (prepared) surface without thinning. Sanding between coats is not necessary.

Drying time at 15° C: 4 hours
Processing time at 15° C: min. 24 hours
Processing temperature: +5° C to max. 35° C
