SUNBEAMsystem Tough Flush (TF) solar modules are a reliable source of energy even under the harshest conditions thanks to the highly efficient SUNPOWER cells (22.5% efficiency). Due to their impressive technical properties, the Tough-Flush modules are often used in the yacht and caravan sector, as well as in private and industrial off-grid systems.
The surface of these modules is extremely durable and resistant to high UV radiation. The material has a better light transmission than conventional materials. When partially shaded, the physical cell arrangement ensures a higher output power than other modules. The surface structure improves power generation at low light incidence angles and has anti-slip properties.
Special features of this module type
The semi-flexible flush modules, which are only 3 mm thin, feature no obstacles or tripping hazards on the module surface because there is no junction box. This is the only type of module that can be mounted almost flush with the surface (flush mount)!
Electrical connection from the back of the module is via an inconspicuous flat, white double-webbed cable (2x 1.6 mm²/approx. 1500 x 5.5 x 2.5 mm) and the cable can be attached almost invisibly next to the module on white surfaces/mounting surfaces.
Details at a glance
- Semi-flexible
- High level of efficiency
- Durable and UV-resistant
- Small size & high performance
- Improved yield in partially shaded areas
- Yield enhancing, anti-slip surface structure
- Flush mounting (no annoying connection box on the module surface)
Special technical feature of flush modules
Because the connecting cables of the flush modules run directly out of the back of the module, there are no integrated blocking / bypass diodes on these modules. (For modules with a connection box, these are usually integrated in the connection box.)
Bypass / blocking diodes
Use bypass / blocking diodes if necessary (in accordance with the installation instructions). The F1200D Schottky diode (12A / 200V) is suitable for 5 - 350 Wp modules and is available from electronics retailers or from us on request.
To install, the module connection cables must be routed to a dry installation area and, together with the diode, mounted on suitable terminal blocks, e.g. item
47023. With powerful modules, "in-line" installation is not advisable, as the diodes can become quite warm when the module is shaded.
Make sure that the diodes have the correct polarity! A ring or point on the diode housing marks the cathode. This must be connected to the PLUS connection of the module.
Important: Incorrect or reverse polarity connected diodes can damage the solar module.

Installation instructions
- In the SUNBEAMsystem installation manual provided, you will find all the relevant information on correct module selection, mounting and electrical installation. You will also find a quick guide with lots of relevant information in our download section.
- PLEASE NOTE: Only SIKASIL WS605S, SIKAFLEX 298FC or ZETTEX MS POLYMER 25 is approved for bonding the modules
- Please check the solar modules after receiving the goods or before installing the panels.
- Do not use modules> 50 W on a soft surface.
SUNBEAM Tough Flush (TF) solar modules with greater than 50 watts of power are designed for permanent installation on a solid surface. Mounting can be done by gluing or screwing.
