Einfache Handhabung, schnelle Trocknungszeit und maximale Ausbeute. Auch nach einer Stunde kann man aber das überschüssige Material, sowie das Werkzeug problemlos mit Desinfektionsmittel reinigen bzw. entfernen. Preist-/Leistungsverhältnis: TOP ! Auch für zu Hause sehr gut geeignet. Das Produkt hält was es verspricht. Ist sehr zu empfehlen !!

Product details

Sikaflex^® - 291i is a marine one-component polyurethane sealant. It has high adhesive power on materials used for boat building. For use on surfaces like: wood, metal, glass, primers and lacquering (two-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics. Sikaflex^® - 291i can be sanded easily. For teack deck strips we recommend Sikaflex^® - 290i DC.

Sikaflex^® - 291 is produced according to ISO 9001/14001 and the Responsible Care program.

Available in black, white and wood-color, contents: 300 ml cartridge. Also available in black and white, contents 100 ml cartrige.

Note: Sikaflex^® - 291i can be painted over with most popular 2-component coating systems. The varnish compatibility has to be checked previously under production conditions. If the varnish will be burned-in, the sealant should be fully cured. Since the elasticity of the coating is less than that of the adhesive / sealant material, there may be cracks in the lacquer joints. PVC-based varnishes and varnishes, which dry by oxidation (oil varnishes and varnishes with alkyd resin) are not suitable for overcoatings.

Out of date product

Bought this from SVB, used it to attach my Yanmar protective rubber boots around my saildrives. Followed the instructions diligently. Product failed within minutes of turning on the engines. Turns out the product was out of date but it was impossible to see that because SVB put one of their huge stickers over the "out of date" section!
350 Euros later all replaced and repaired

Listed as wood colour. But what wood colour? Presumably brown but is it light brown or dark brown? when it dries?

Only used brown once and it neither dried dark or light. It's in between a varnish pine and an oak. What I found was a tiny bit of varnish tinted with a stain and you can get a seamless seal with it, not visible to the eye. I only used it inside not out, so very little movement on the wood. Hope this helps.
