In cross-section of the intake hose too low for your reason is a suction with medium-warm engine oil time consuming

Product bought to drain my Picasso but the pipe should not arrive at the bottom of the housing because only 2l 4 d aspirated otherwise produces a lot and seems quality.

This pump is a very smart device! However, you should bring patience. 15 liters (ie not warmed up as recommended) For a total of 55 pump strokes, this required 30 min. A total of 115 pump strokes required 35 min (low pressure, due to frequent pumping). rather ab) At 21 pump strokes 45 min were needed (21 pump strokes were carried out in one go and the suction 45 minutes left to themselves) So, who wants to drink tea or coffee in between, which can be with a suction of 3 liters about 135 minutes Leave time Does not fit the supplied "probe" and must be replaced by a thinner brass tube, for example, extends the above time.

No luck for me.
Before ordering this pump, I read all the reviews and comments, which were all very favorable. This afternoon, I wanted to drain my boat's inboard engine.
Unfortunately, I had a hell of a time getting 4 liters out, even though the crankcase holds 6. I had warmed up the engine thoroughly beforehand. Despite placing the pump at the same height as the crankcase, and despite the high vacuum achieved by pumping, the oil was too difficult to drain. I had to deprime the pump regularly to hear a suction noise. In short, I couldn't suck it all out. I was only able to add 4.5 liters of new oil, and the level was still too high. I had to pump it a little more to get it to the right level. So, very disappointed with this "marvel." Do you have a solution?
I just bought a 1973 powerboat. The previous owner hadn't had the oil changed for about six years.

Not practical
I thought this pump would simplify oil changes on my boat, but no.
- You cannot see what is flowing in the container;
- Unlike a classic pump, with the vacuum pump there is no feedback;
- In any case, you need a container to deposit the used oil in the recycling centre.

The only positive is that the container has a wide base that won't tip over.
On the other hand, the shape of the tank is not practical at all, it is very bulky.

Anyway, I went back to the good old brass pump.

The hose does not fit into the golf 4 bj 2001. Rubber hose is easily broken when pressed lightly. \ R \ nWorking effort is not less if not quite complicated. \ R \ nFirst, it must be sucked clean in the tank, then afterwards in a canister. \ r \ nFrom the hose, there are always oil leftovers out. \ r \ nIm not personally recommended

Well, I would have expected more for 40 € :(. 100% full plastic and sometimes also relatively thin or bad fit. Pump piston is very poorly fitting, for example, which is why many pumping processes go empty because the vacuum cannot be generated. Pro: - Very clean Oil change - Sucks to the last rest Contra: - Very expensive (especially if you see what you get) - Pumping only works when the oil is very hot = thin fluid - Pumping process takes a very long 3.5L approx. 30-40 min. - Full plastic and partly not very robustly built All in all, I am rather disappointed and therefore definitely do not recommend the PL6000 any more, rather an electric pump for the same money.

Fiasco
It doesn't absorb oil at all, even when using it with a hot engine, you can pump as much as you want, but it doesn't suck up much.

Doesn't suck up fast enough, 2 hrs for a 6 liter drain (obviously I wasn't waiting so there were a few times when there was no suction hence the 2 hrs)

Bad fit, poor absorption
I have been giving more than an hour to the pump, and it gets stuck a lot, you have to raise and lower the hose to drain some oil. Only 3 liters in more than an hour. After opening the lid of the carter I took out a gallon and a half in my Seat Cordoba 1.9 SDI. I'll throw the Pela Oil 6000 in the trash. 53.90 euros in the trash.

Disappointed very disappointed...
I made my drain on my 307 HDI 90cv (phase 2) of 2006 and the result is not really convincing. The pump operates normally but it is impossible to see if the oil runs into the container. Indeed, the tubing being transparent and the oil dark once it is mounted through impossible to verify if it continues to convey correctly. It is necessary to verify the container and to verify the level. Also after a first emptying but for the following times your container being already contaminated you could only see the level of oil by removing the cap to arrive to see the bottom of the jar. The container being blackened by the uses. Moreover, it is there that I am very disappointed: all the oil is not aspirated and it is necessary to pump continuously as soon as the pressure decreases. Indeed it is necessary contrary to what one tells you in the practice or on the videos, to pump regularly so as not to defuse the aspiration otherwise your oil will not rise. You are told (and it is the one who laughs) that as soon as the air bubbles arrive in the tubing it is that the crankcase is emptied (or emptied). But how do you want to see anything when the oil inside the tubing has blackened the lead? For my part I hear the suction made of the noises of air bubbles proof that it does not aspire everything while the casing is not empty! The crankcase of my car is not completely emptied and I even bought a thinner extension of 0.3 mn (to go further in the crankcase); I'd have to abstain it did not work for that. Frankly I would not recommend it to you at the price it costs. Advertising false nothing is worth the good old drainage I assure you, because draining with this is not assured and there is at least a good third in the crankcase (even pumping as best you can) And then think of the storage of your device it is soiled and the oil can flow if it is misplaced (it always remains a little oil). Moreover he does not give advice for maintenance either. If he did at least his work I would have had less remorse at having ordered it, but did not believe what you are boasting :-(
