Motor too weak, jams easily
I've been using the pump for several years for the bilge, but shortly after installation and initially good performance, it simply stopped working. In other words, I switched it on, and nothing happened. After opening it up, it became clear that the impeller was seized due to a mixture of bilge sludge and limescale. After cleaning, lubricating, and replacing the impeller, the pump performed the same for a few weeks, then stopped working again during the season. In my opinion, the torque is too low. It's logical that a pump that only runs briefly every few weeks might accumulate some limescale. But it's not surprising that the motor has so little power in reserve – especially since it's the larger version of the motor.
