High-performance copper and biocide-containing antifouling COPPER-CRUISE from EPIFANES is versatile and guarantees effective and long-term fouling protection. Ideally suited for steel, wooden and GRP boats with speeds of up to 50 km/h (30 knots).
Not suitable for aluminium boats!
The product is authorised for commercial and pleasure craft in Germany and the Netherlands. Featuring a copper content of 12.1 % and slightly abrasive properties, it is effective in salt and fresh water and at the same time less harmful to the environment than comparable products.
It is recommended to apply the antifouling undiluted and to stir the paint well before use. Can be painted over again after 6 hours (at 18°C.) Boat can be put back into water after at least 24 hours upon application (at 18°C) and no longer than one month thereafter. Yield: approx: 7-8 m² with an amount of 750 ml. Available in different versions.

Technical data
- Processing temperature: temperature of the substrate at least +10 °C.
- Drying time at 20 °C: 30 minutes (dust-dry) / 1 hour (tack-free)
- Overcoating time at 20 °C: 6 - 8 hours.
Application
For uncoated surfaces: Remove salts, detergents, contaminants and marine growth using a high-pressure cleaner.
Primer the substrate with
Underwater Primer CR (1 component) or with Epifanes Epoxy System + Interimcoat (2 components).
For coated surfaces: Clean thoroughly with fresh water to remove fouling and salt. Antifouling in poor condition must be removed. Surface must be clean, dry and grease free.
- Soft antifoulingRemove by rough sanding
- Hard antifouling: Degrease with suitable degreaser, sand with P60 and degrease again.
- Self-polishing antifouling: Remove loose antifouling residues with a high-pressure cleaner.
Use on
GFRP, wood and steel: Apply two coats (more heavily contaminated areas such as; waterline, rudder etc. three coats).
Do not apply to aluminium or substrates containing Teflon.

Epifanes COPPER-CRUISE CTGB is authorised for use in the Netherlands with the approval number 14301. Only the German approval number is printed on the German tins. However, the product is approved in the Netherlands!
